The first Northfield Festival took place in May 1950. It has been held on the 2nd Saturday in May ever since at Turves Green School, Northfield, Birmingham. Our 63rd Festival will be on Saturday 12th May 2012 with the Ensemble and Open Piano Classes on Friday 11th May.
Our objective is to educate in the arts of Music and Speech in all their branches. We aim to foster the talents of participants by providing them with the opportunity to gain experience through performing in front of an audience and to be inspired by the efforts of their peers. Professional adjudicators give praise and encouragement through constructive comments. Further opportunity for talent is provided at a Concert held in September when selected winners of classes perform.

The Venue
The festival is held each year at Turves Green Girls' School & Technology College, Northfield, Birmingham.

Entries must be received by Monday 6th February 2012. Details of own choice items must be shown on the entry form and may not be changed after the closing date.
